You might think that staid old Beantown would not be any fun during New Years Eve, but oh, my friends, how wrong you are! Boston is famed for the celebrations of First Night — not only will you get your fill of fireworks displays, but there are gorgeous ice sculptures to behold as well. The fireworks go off in a dazzling display right over the river.
But the festivities actually start days ahead of time. First Night Boston is a long standing tradition — one of the oldest in the country, and one of the biggest as well.
It is a celebration of the arts, of dance, of music, of ice sculptures, and of fireworks. It is a perfect celebration for all members of the family, no matter what their ages.
