What this means is that the Northwest name is going to no longer exist and that the airline is all going to be Delta. Although the two airlines have been combine for almost a year now – the Northwest airlines are finally going to be repainted to become Delta planes.

The Northwest names and codes were still in place and now – with this approval, they will no longer be in place.

While in 2006 – they have mourned the loss of $1 billion dollars as well as the in-flight internet company, they may have found themselves a replacement and not a moment too soon! The German carrier actually says that it will be using a brand new service from Panasonic in mid-2010.

Unlike the original in-flight internet service Aircell, Panasonic actually has a satellite-based service.
