Buckingham Palace — Worth It?

One thing that is a must see whenever you are in London is Buckingham Palace – is it really a must see? That is what I am constantly asking myself and from the reviews that I have read, it is actually a must see whenever you are in London. Personally, I think that the pictures alone of Buckingham Palace are breathtakingly beautiful and seeing it in the second National Treasure movie was awesome.

This vast mansion has been around for quite some time now and the exterior is as beautiful as the interior and I have to say that if you want an attraction to stand out — Buckingham Palace does it. This beautiful palace is modern yet chic and totally sophisticated.

You want luxury, that is what Buckingham Palace is all about.

Going To Kenya On Vacation!

When it comes to taking a vacation – there are a ton of different places that I can recommend, but I can tell you for sure that Kenya is actually one of the best places in the world to take a vacation. Not only will you be able to take a vacation with yourself but with your family as well!

The hotels in Kenya though, let’s talk about those. InterContinental Nairobi Hotel is certainly one of the best hotels in Kenya and I can tell you that this hotel is in a fantastic location, looks amazing and certainly offers some of the best services.

The sights that you can see around Kenya is absolutely incredible and there are so, so, so many things to do as well.

We all know that Spring Break is coming up quickly and even if you are short on cash, why not make sure that you can still go on vacation for Spring break? That is what I am here for, to ensure that you can absolutely still make some time and save some cash to have your own little spring break vacation!

One thing that you need to make sure of is the time frame that you are going. Traveling in early or late spring is the best option, as there are not that many people that are going to be going along either of these frames. Most of the time during the middle of spring is peak time.

Next, make sure that you do your research. To be perfectly honest, comparison shopping is the best way to ensure that you do save a bunch of cash for your vacation!

Valentine’s Day is almost here people and are your ready? I know that I can not wait for it to get here and I am here to report on one of the best places to go this weekend – the City Of Love! Paris France is by far the best place to go if you are looking to go away for Valentine’s Day. Not only does this city go all out but it is absolutely beautiful in February.

If you want luxury and want to surprise your lover, Paris is definitely a way that it can be done. If you have not booked your tickets yet, what are you waiting for? There are a ton of different hotels that you can stay at and the ticket prices are just right as this is off-peak season, which is perfect.

Paris people … seriously, it is one of the most romantic places if you are really looking to wow your sweetheart!

Little Known European Destinations

There are a lot of sought after destinations in Europe — Berlin, London, Paris, Dublin, St. Petersburg, and so on — but you do not have to stick to the wildly popular locations to have an authentic European experience.

The Basque Country, spanning through Spain and through France, is a beautiful location that isn’t quite as chock full as tourists as some other holiday spots. Better still, there are a number of travel packages that can get you there inexpensively.

For those who enjoy colder holidays, snow sports, and things of that nature, why not try your hand at Norway? Svalbard is known for mysterious fjords, boat tours, and more snow than you can shake a ski pole at!

The Beauty of New Years in Boston

You might think that staid old Beantown would not be any fun during New Years Eve, but oh, my friends, how wrong you are! Boston is famed for the celebrations of First Night — not only will you get your fill of fireworks displays, but there are gorgeous ice sculptures to behold as well. The fireworks go off in a dazzling display right over the river.

But the festivities actually start days ahead of time. First Night Boston is a long standing tradition — one of the oldest in the country, and one of the biggest as well.

It is a celebration of the arts, of dance, of music, of ice sculptures, and of fireworks. It is a perfect celebration for all members of the family, no matter what their ages.

In this day and age – it seems that we can not be without the internet even for the duration of a flight. Turning off my laptop when I am on a plane is something that I hate to do – and even when I am able to turn it back on, the fact that I do not have internet sucks! Well – Lufthansa is actually making a difference in respect to internet on the plane.

While in 2006 – they have mourned the loss of $1 billion dollars as well as the in-flight internet company, they may have found themselves a replacement and not a moment too soon! The German carrier actually says that it will be using a brand new service from Panasonic in mid-2010.

Unlike the original in-flight internet service Aircell, Panasonic actually has a satellite-based service.

For starters, you need to find the right accommodations, based on your needs. Are you a couple, are the kids coming, do you want to be close to the beach?

You also need to pack with an eye to the weather. In December especially, the weather in the southern cities of Florida can be highly unpredictable. Sometimes the days are warm and balmy, sometimes they are quite chilly. So, just make sure you pack a good mix.

Traveling with children, whether by plain, train, or automobile, can be difficult, but there are some tips which can make it significantly easier.

To begin with, make sure the kids are involved when you plan your vacation. If they are involved, they will be more interested.

You also need to do your best to make it a family friendly vacation, so check out the amenities offered by the hotel you choose.

Inasmuch as you can, let the kids pack for themselves. That way they can include things that will keep them happy and occupied during the trip.

Make sure you bring along your pediatrician’s phone number, as well as a first aid kit, not to mention wet wipes and things like that.

You have to help occupy your kids too, with everything from snacks to toys.

If you are driving or taking the train, make some stops at places that will interest the kids.
